Telma Vieira Barbosa joined Dower Law Firm in 2022, where she primarily focuses on Criminal Law and Administrative Offences, Family and Inheritance Law, and Debt Recovery.
She holds a degree in Solicitorship from the School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic of Porto and a Law degree from Portucalense University Infante D. Henrique.
She is currently attending the Master’s in Law with a Specialisation in Criminal Legal Sciences at the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto.
Also completed the 1st Intensive Course in Legal-Forensic Advisory organised by the Botto Machado Training Institute and the Order of Solicitors and Enforcement Agents. In 2024 and 2025, she completed the course “Corruption and Money Laundering” organised by the Portuguese Bar Association and the Specialisation Course in Compliance and Criminal Law at the Institute of Economic and European Criminal Law of the University of Coimbra, respectively.
Her professional background includes three years of legal-forensic advisory work in the office of an Enforcement Agent and an internship at the law firm Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão.
As present, Telma Vieira Barbosa is also a municipal representative in the Municipal Assembly of Santa Maria da Feira, a locally elected member of the Gião Parish Assembly, Secretary of the Executive Board of the Santa Maria da Feira Municipal Youth Council, President of the Santa Maria da Feira municipal party youth organisation, 1st Secretary of the Executive Committee of the party’s local chapter, a member of the secretariat of the Santa Maria da Feira Municipal Political Committee and of the secretariat of the Aveiro Federative Political Committee.She is also a Second-Class Firefighter at the Lourosa Volunteer Firefighters and President of the Board of the General Assembly of the association Sr. Saudável – Caminhamos lado a lado com a sua saúde.
Received the Alumni Career Merit Award, nominated by the School of Technology and Management, under the theme “Distinctive Commitment to Development and Territorial Cohesion.” This award aims to recognise graduates who have distinguished themselves through their career path and their contribution to innovative, entrepreneurial, and socially committed actions and policies aimed at building a better future, making her one of the youngest recipients of this distinction.
