Castelo de Paiva: ACICP Session Clarifies €800,000 in NORTE 2030 Funding Available for Businesses
The Commercial and Industrial Association of Castelo de Paiva (ACICP) held an information session at the Local Culture Interpretation Centre, dedicated to the Territorial-Based Incentive Scheme – Tâmega e Sousa, within the framework of the NORTE 2030 programme.
The event brought together entrepreneurs, business managers, and representatives of the local business community interested in exploring new investment and funding opportunities for their organisations.
The session was opened by António Novais, President of ACICP, followed by a technical presentation delivered by consultants Vânia Marques Soares and Tiago Manuel Ribeiro, representing Dower Business Services. The experts provided a detailed overview of the funding call, explaining the eligibility requirements, eligible investment categories, technical assessment criteria, and the application submission process.
The current call includes a budget allocation of approximately €800,000, exclusively intended to support investment projects promoted by micro-enterprises operating within the Tâmega e Sousa sub-region. The application period remains open until 16 November and covers projects in sectors such as extractive and manufacturing industries, accommodation and food services, as well as entertainment and recreational activities.
During the session, particular emphasis was placed on the evaluation criteria, including the socio-economic value and environmental contribution of proposed projects. Participants were also informed about implementation requirements, target achievement obligations, and post-approval contractual commitments.
