Working During the Holidays: An Experience That Could Even Change Your Plans for the Future

Eduardo Castro Marques, Managing Partner at Dower, was invited by TVI to comment on the importance of ensuring the proper legal framework for professional relationships established with young people during the summer holidays.

With the arrival of the summer holidays, many young people have the opportunity to gain their first experience of the labour market through professional experiences or internships. In addition to providing an opportunity to develop new skills and gain exposure to different professional environments, these experiences can also influence future academic and career choices.

During his appearance, he highlighted two key aspects. Firstly, the need to ensure that the relationship is correctly classified and legally structured, taking into account its specific nature and characteristics. Secondly, the importance of identifying and applying the most appropriate legal framework to each situation, particularly by distinguishing between the different forms of professional integration.

An appropriate legal framework is particularly important to ensure legal certainty and transparency for both young people and companies, while safeguarding the rights and obligations of all parties involved.
