Incentives for SME qualification and digitalisation: Algarve

Applications are now open for the SME Qualification System, which supports operations aimed at qualifying and digitalising SME business models through the use of intangible competitiveness factors.

Factors

1. Organisational innovation, management and logistics;
2. Digitalisation and digital transformation;
3. Brand creation and design;
4. Capacity building for the development of products, services and processes;
5. Industrial property protection;
6. Quality and certification;
7. Knowledge and technology transfer;
8. Sustainability and eco-innovation.

Eligible applicants

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), of any legal form and sector of activity.

Geographic area covered

NUTS II region – Algarve.

Eligible expenses

1.  Costs of equipment required for the implementation of new organisational methods, including software;
2. Costs of acquiring innovative technological systems for the efficient management of natural resources, including sustainable desalination equipment;
3. Salary costs for the hiring of qualified human resources;
4. Costs of specialised consultancy services;
5. Costs related to obtaining, validating and defending patents and other industrial property registrations.

Support

The support takes the form of a non-repayable grant, corresponding to a 50% funding rate, applicable to investments with a minimum amount of €100,000. The application period runs until 30 June 2026.
