Pegada Positiva | A law firm that measures its footprint down to the last litre of water.

Since its foundation in 2022, Dower has embraced sustainability as a commitment that runs across all areas of its activity, establishing the role of Chief Sustainability Officer from the outset and making its environmental footprint public. In just two years, we achieved carbon-positive status through a process that was independently monitored and externally audited.

On the Pegada Positiva podcast, Eduardo Castro Marques, Managing Partner at Dower, had the opportunity to share some of the initiatives that are part of this journey, from the continuous monitoring of emissions and consumption to the Paperless project, the promotion of more flexible working models, reforestation, and the environmental partnerships we have developed.

But our vision of sustainability goes beyond the environmental dimension.

Our pro bono legal support, the promotion of culture and the arts through the Dower Culture project, and our investment in the community also reflect the way we seek to give back to society.

His participation was also an opportunity to reflect on the regulatory challenges businesses face and on the importance of viewing sustainability not merely as an obligation, but as an opportunity for transformation, efficiency, and competitiveness.

At Dower, we believe that sustainability is not a project running alongside our business. It is part of how we choose to do business and of the impact we want to leave behind.
